TLDR:
I’m all about telling an un-boring version of your favorite day.
I’m fascinated with how every event feels unique, alive, and filled with its own vibrant personality.
The personality of a wedding is intangible - but I love trying to show it regardless. How do you photograph energy? How do you show the joy of being surrounded by loved ones, the giddiness of being almost-married, the relief when you change out of your heels at the end of the night?
You just have to enjoy the art of paying attention to people.
“You have so much passion for this work that it’s almost annoying!”
— A very well-meaning wedding guest.
He wasn’t wrong, though.

Wtih a background in fine art and chemistry, my main goal was always to work in museums as an art conservator. Back in the day, my only objective was to combine my love of experimentation with the art world — see where this is going?
I was lucky enough to work in a large art museum for a few years, in both conservation and registration. If we're being honest, though, being around artwork every single day just made me want to create (rather than just observe).
During this entire time, I spent my free hours learning everything I could about combining photography and illustration (my other love). Through this journey, I started getting more and more conceptual with my personal photography, started photographing other likeminded souls, and, well... the rest is history!

1. Because, at my core, I'm a huge sap. Always have been, always will be (but please don't tell anyone). While you won’t find any saccharine statements or overly flowery descriptors, I'm still a total sucker for human connection of any sort. There's just a special way this type of energy comes out at weddings, and I genuinely cannot get enough of it.
2. Chaos (the good kind). I love that each wedding has its own special and unpredictable journey. Part of the joy of wedding photography is getting to witness (and retell) the unplanned parts of the day.

I drink an obscene amount of hot chocolate, year-round. It’s the first drink I get any time I travel, and I even have a large container with a custom mix. My favorite way to have hot chocolate is via French café on a dreary afternoon (their hot chocolate is basically just hot pudding and I’m convinced that it’s even more satisfying because of this).
I’m an obsessive collector of antique figural lamps and bronze sculptures (don’t get me started on my collection). I’m constantly hunting through auction sites, markets, and estate sales for my next find.
The 2005 adaptation of “Pride & Prejudice” is my absolute favorite movie of all time, ever. If ever there was a movie that I could be insufferable about, it’s this one.
I’m an avid traveler and have been to 21 countries so far. My husband and I often base our trips around food alone, from Michelin restaurants to hidden food stalls! My favorite food experiences have been in Singapore, Thailand, Mexico, Italy, and Czechia (but don’t worry - I’ll eat anywhere).
